In 1997 Scottie B started deejaying at events in the north London area and with host MC Digga. This partnership resulted in the creation of a faithful fan base and in turn his first break came in 1998 when he was asked to play a weekly primetime set, each Friday at New Orleans.
He quickly built up hype at this weekly venue and was soon featured on the award-winning underground station Freek FM - the biggest community radio station between 1992 and 2002 that received four consecutive national awards. After Freek FM shut up shop for good in 2002, Scottie B moved to Xtreme FM.
In July 2001, Scottie B was officially made resident for the legendary, international urban brand TwiceasNice by MD Steve Gordon and in turn joined the Nice Talent Agency. Within six months of joining Nice Talent Scottie B was setting dances ablaze throughout the UK with his unique deejaying and innovative style of mixing, confirming his position as one of the freshest talents on the urban circuit.
Scottie B has played at London’s biggest clubs, including; The Ministry of Sound, Rouge, Oceans, The Works, Sound Republic, Turnmills, Eros, Rainforest Caf, Scala, Cynthia's and Aquarium. Scottie B utilized his impressive knowledge of the urban music genre in his contribution to 2004s TwiceasNice album release, TwiceasNice Urban Club Classics. He then went on to mix the Twice as Nice “anthems” album in 2007 which was top 5 in the compilations chart over the summer.
Scottie B has also achieved a BA Hons degree in Music Audio Technology and Music Industry Studies, which he gained at Kingston University (August 2003).
