Paul Bruce a.k.a. DJ First Rate is a scratch DJ, he has supported and toured with acts such as the Beastie Boys, Paul Weller, Massive Attack, Ben Braund, Placidhouse, Morcheeba, Run DMC, De La Soul, Mix Master Mike, Blade of Mark B and Blade and has remixed singles & albums for Grand Master Flash, Morcheeba, Loretta & US3

Along the way First Rate has won titles for World DMC Team Champion, ITF European Scratching Champion and ITF Team Champion and played all over the UK at Creamfields, Glastonbury, Ministry of Sound, Gatecrasher, Fabric, Scratch, The Forum and Astoria as well as internationally in Ibiza, America, Amsterdam, Moscow and Paris.
