This week for Kdot Introducing, we are pleased to introduce Jasmin Kora. A talented bubbling singer/songwriter, who dabbles in the fusion of a pop/urban sound. Under the wings of Helicopta Records, her current promo track ‘Electrifying’ which features M-Tidda (Ellis) currently holds the 12th spot in Music Week’s Urban Top 30 and is still rising – it is impressive to see it rising at a rapid pace but not unexpected. The futuristic urban sound is starting to create a nice viral buzz. Have a listen below.

Remixes are going to be a joy for any DJ or producer, as her music fits perfect for some seriously good remixes such as the drum n’ bass remix of ‘Electrifying’. We have this track on heavy rotation at the office! Make sure when you play it you play it at high volume!

Jasmin’s debut single ‘Cinderella’ (our personal favorite) and her up coming EP is said to showcase her sound develop and we can see this from ‘Cinderella’. The track has a catchy and infectious sound that honestly urges you to want to bop your head to the beat. Something we feel is a brilliant choice to release into the commercial charts. It does resemble a bit of Rihanna’s ‘Umbrella’ track and we saw where that reached in the charts! So expect no less from ‘Cinderella’. Have a listen to it below.

Some will argue that the use of auto tune over her vocals is a bit over used or outdated..however it is fitting to her sound and style. I think the important thing about it is that it works and Jasmin is able to use it to her advantage and the results prove this.

One of her strengths is being able to write strong sounding hooks which is important in a song as its the main chunk that grasps listeners. Not many artists can do this, which is why they tend to source hooks from other artists/writers – but Jasmin has this on point. A talent that takes a lot of thought and skill with words.

Her new sound is not to be overlooked – it looks like we are going to be hearing a lot more from Jasmin in 2012 so be sure to watch out for her.

The Junior Community Manager will assist in the creation, implementation, and day-to-day management of our social media communities and fan engagement to ensure vibrant, engaging, and rewarding communities. Analysis: Taking data from research and performance analytic’s and being able to help create reports that draw conclusions on performance and provide recommendations for campaign optimisation. Team-work: Being involved with team meetings to help craft Social Media & Social PR campaigns. Proposals & Reports: Being able to assist with  proposals & reports as needed. General Requirements: A thorough understanding of Social Media and outreach tactics Strong written / verbal communication skills Available full time from January 2012.

This week for Kdot Introducing, we bring you a very talented soulful singer called Evangeline. When we first heard her songs we were amazed at the vocal talent this lady delivers and were excited as we do get a whole bunch of, lets just say below average music in the inbox. So it is always a great find when an artist like Evangeline lands infront of us.

If its that real soulful experimental sound your after then this is the artist for you. A touch of graceful and hypnotic vocals over a space like melodies in the back just sends those goosebumps down your back. Evangeline is definitely a glimpse of the feeling that music is getting back into the swing of things. More great artists and great music is started to flood the music scene and it has been way too long for this moment. We as the listeners have a duty not only to listen to great music but to help appreciate and support those artist for their hard work. We need to keep buying and supporting great talent such as Evangeline throughout their career so not only to help them but to keep good music in the public eye because without us they will just be flooded with all the commercial noise that floats around.

This week the Kdot Introducing team went through the endless list of upcoming artists and came across a very talented singer who goes by the name of Ruby Lee Ryder. Ruby has a current single out called ‘Sensitivity’ where she has teamed up with DJ Champion, a well known funky house DJ who I have personally been a fan of. The track will be a release from Champion’s Formula Label.

Do not for one second think that she is just a typical funky house standard vocalist, because she is far from it! Ruby has one of those beautiful voices that can make you connect with her on a musical level (see video below). Maybe it was a bit ambitious of her to try an Aaliyah song but I think it is safe to say that aside from the low quality of audio in the video you can hear this young lady’s vocal talent loud and clear. The track ‘Sensitivity’ starts off with a simplistic beat in the intro and then follows with an intro of vocals from Ruby and then the drop. Which then drags you into a deep hypnotic bass line. This with the beautiful vocals laid over this beat was pure genius. Definitely an urban club banger! I seriously can’t stop bopping my head Some have described the sound giving a sense of being set into space and you can definitely here the sci-fi sound waves coming through, so no denying that.

An artist of true vocal talent, great personality and a production of great music – we love music! 

So with great pleasure we are proud to kick start Kdot Introducing with the young, amazing, singersongwriter from Cornwall, Abee Hague. At only a young age of 16 years old, do not for one second, doubt Abee Hague! She is able to produce some amazing unique styles of vocals. From the highs to the lows to the harmonic melodies. Abee not only sings and writes but also plays the acoustic guitar and piano. Which, may we say, sounds absolutely great! Theres nothing better than an artist that can sing, write and play an instrument or two – it just gives the audience that much more of a higher level of respect and appreciation for them and their music.

Abee, has already been described as Cornwall’s young version of Adele and that is a big statement at her stage in her career. Who knows what the future will hold for this young star in the making. She has already been captivating audiences with her vocals and will continue to wow more. Her style of music, dips into a bit of soul/pop/acoustic/folk – just goes to show how versatile her sound is.

After listening to some of her tracks and watching one of her music videos (see below) we are actually shocked that she is still yet to be signed. So heres a shout to all the major and independent record labels, sign this young lady up! She deserves to be amongst the stars!

Check the video below ‘Head Way Up’ which is one of our favorite songs that shes done (on heavy rotation on the iPod). The video is a sure display of how great she looks on screen and how great she performs in an angelic manner. What a down to earth video and song. So much soul and emotion in this one. We love it! The track features Cy Brandl, another up and coming who produced the track. We will be sure to keep a close eye on Abee Hague following her career as we just cannot get enough of her.
