Introducing Miss Dj Philly, one of the UKs most talented female Djs.
Having dominated the urban scene in Northampton, at 18yrs old Philly relocated to London not just to pursue her career as a Dj, but also to study a degree in Law.
Her career as a dj really took off after a fluke set in London’s Hippodrome, where the heads of both the Sony BMG and TVT street teams were blown away by her ability to incorporate all genres of urban music in her set. Philly can mix just about anything, from Hip-Hop to Funky House, R & B to Garage, and Jungle to Dancehall.
Redz, head of the Sony BMG street team, immediately offered Philly a place in the So Urban Hit Squad who tour the UK and host parties for top artists.
This led to Philly performing alongside the likes of Jazzy Jeff, and at launch parties for artists such as Chris Brown, Missy Elliot, Ne-yo, Jay-Z, J-Lo, Alicia Keys and Wycleff Jean.
She continued to wow crowds as part of the dj collective, Smooth Connection, performing in big clubs all over London and the UK, including Ministry of Sound, Hammersmith Palais, Hippodrome, Carling Academy and clubs in Colchester, Wales, Leicester and Brighton, the list goes on!
As well as regular slots in clubs and bars every weekend, her annual events include appearances at Notting Hill and Luton Carnivals.
From touring the UK, Philly has begun touring the world! She has performed for crowds in all over Europe including Ireland, Geneva, Ibiza, and Aiya Napa. More recently she has been sought after further afield headlining in Shanghai, Taijin, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Qatar. Her sets in Middle East have led to her becoming the only female resident tour dj for Ministry of Sounds urban brand Smoove, and also a place at TwiceasNice
To add to her international success Philly has been asked to submit mixes to American internet station DTF Radio by Orlando ‘Diesel’ Gonzalez, C.E.O of Shadyville (Eminem) Djs.
