The True Ingredients are cooking up a musical revolution. Calling them only a band would be to miss the point, at its core are 33 artists including rappers, singers, beatboxers, DJ’s, brass players, drummers, bassists, percussionists, keyboard players, guitarists, harpists and string players from all over the world; the UK, USA, France, Brazil, Trinidad, Sudan, Canada, Ukraine, Jamaica, Germany, Mauritius and many more.
All of them are are successful in their own right. Some hold DMC Champion titles, others have won International and National competitions, and most have shared the stage and worked with acts at the very top of their musical fields. A True Ingredients live performance can range from a DJ set, with trumpet or vocals, to the full band and everything in between. Mashing together old skool hip hop groove, jazz melodies and dubby warmth, they have already been booked for exclusives on BBC1xtra and MTV Base. Music by the True Ingredients has already been featured on TV shows, Gumball 3000 and Streetball Extreme, Channel 4, E4, the Extreme Channel, the forthcoming film ‘Ex-Cathedra’ at the Cannes Film Festival, The Breakdown and Skins Season 2.
True Ingredients were also finalists at Hugo Boss Urban Rules Manchester 08, shown on MTV and MTV Base throughout July and August. The True Ingredients crew are going to be hitting Clubs, Festivals and Freshers’ Weeks worldwide.
