Producer / Remixer and Song writer Whytepatch aka Benji Whytepatch unleashes his first single, “Fresh Air” feat. Gift from his debut LP, Long Long Way coming soon.
Benji has worked on various projects including Nu Starr’s 2005 hit single “Keep Holding On” which got nominated for Best of British award organized by channel U and the GEM (Gospel Entertainment award) award. A collaboration with UK finest Breaks beat producer, Angel Farringdon, and USA based producer K. London from K4B records also saw Nu Starr’s never released follow up single , “Candi Treat” reach number 1 in the DMC and Dj’s UK Urban chart .
Benji Whytpatch’s is known in the 1990’s for garage music and his projects then included a hit called ‘Need Your Loving’ by band called E-Emerge. This single was licensed widely across Europe and notably by Garage Nation in 1996.
Benji is also behind independent record label Erra records and is impressively building a roster of hot UK artists and remix projects. His current projects due for release in 2009 include tunes from, Pyrelli, Soul diva, ‘Shereen-Crystal’, and a remix of Moondance by the legendary Van Morrison and a also remix of ‘Your body Speaks’ by ‘Nicole Marie’ which featured in the Music Weeks commercial pop charts in August 2007 and also played on BBC 1Xtra.
Featured Vocalist Gift is now pursuing a solo career. A previous member of girl band La Infinite, who performed around the country, including sharing a stage with the late Michael Jackson at the World Music Awards in 2006 and hitting the finals of 2007 Hugo Urban Rules competition.
